HR Director, Construction | £78 – £90,000 plus excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support the company’s growth and sustainability goals. Drive initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent in a competitive construction industry.
  • Oversee employee relations activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment. Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, promoting a culture of open communication and conflict resolution.
  • Work closely with recruitment teams to identify staffing needs and develop effective talent acquisition strategies.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs and facilitate leadership development initiatives.
  • Lead the performance management process, providing guidance to managers and employees on goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement plans. Ensure fair and consistent application of performance standards across the organization.
  • Collaborate with finance and executive teams to design competitive and equitable compensation and benefits packages.
  • Regularly review and update the company’s compensation structure to remain competitive in the market.
  • Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations, ensuring company policies and practices are compliant. Mitigate legal risks by implementing and enforcing consistent HR policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR Director or senior HR leadership role in the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing HR strategies that support business objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Relevant degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
