Salary: £30,000
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the HR Officer will have many duties, some of which include:
- Managing and implementing the staff recruitment process
- Assisting with ongoing HR procedures
- Prepare the monthly payroll
- Be the first point of contact for all basic HR and payroll enquiries
- Maintaining registers and the database, ensuring all information is up to date, accessible, accurate and managed in accordance with data protection legislation
- Preparation of the annual census
- Assisting where necessary such as minute taking or issuing letters
Experience
- HR experience in a comparable role is essential, including basic employee relations and performance management
- Experience of handling sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy
- Working knowledge of office management processes is essential
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills
- Ability to relate well to others, remain calm under pressure, juggle a wide range of tasks
- Excellent IT skills, proficient use of Microsoft applications Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of payroll is desirable, though not essential
